A black dancer is rehearsing his return to stage with a solo dance performance inspired in Shakespeare’s Othello. His inspiration comes from Orisha mythology. After a mysterious event, he will use his weapons to stand up against the approaching enemy.

Allan Ribeiro wrote and directed nine short films, most notably The lady of Peixoto square (A Dama do Peixoto, 2011), Film Rehearsal (Ensaio de Cinema, 2009) and The twinkle of my eyes (O Brilho dos Meus Olhos, 2006), which together won more than 70 awards in national and international film festivals. In 2012, he directed This love that consumes (Esse amor que nos consome), his first feature film, which had its premiere at several film festivals in Brazil and it is still being shown in festivals in Brazil and abroad, especially: World Cinema Amsterdam, Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival and Mostra de Tiradentes. This love that consumes is distributed in Brazil by Vitrine Filmes.
